classification of animals was not accepted by Aristotle because it had only 2 sects that's the plant kingdom and animal kingdom there was no place given to unicellular microorganisms, bacteria and fungi were thought to be non living

Aristotle classified animal on the basis of habitual for example corals whales octopuses star fish and sharks lived in sea were placed in one group even where they are very different from each other except habitat they do not share other similarities thus it was not an efficient way to classify animal and hence was discarded
