Answer: Well non metals actually do show displacement reactions

Explanation: Displacement reactions as we know are chemical reactions in which the ions of the combinig elements are interchnaged ( literally speaking ) and the metals which have a higher position in the metallic reactivity series displace the ions of the metals having a lowr position in the reactivity series

so like metals have a reactivity series similarly non metals also have their own Halogenic reactivity series and the halogens having a higher position displace the halogens having a lower position

so both metals and non metals do take part in displacement reactions
