This is so because the climate has very high annual temperature and low annual precipitation.there are regular droughts.it is difficult to grow crops and farm animals as the soil is thin,rocky and infertile.the only plant which grow well are throng caatinga bushes.there are few natural recourses to provide raw materials for secondary industry.there is a little government support given to thus region.
