Sperms produced by male have to travel through the vagina till the ampulla section(near the opening leading to uterus) of the fallopian tube of the female where fertilization takes place(sperm and egg combine to form zygote). To reach till the ampulla, sperms have to cover a long way and while travelling through, many sperms die or cannot reach till the fallopian tube. One of the sperms which are able to survive through till they reach the ampulla can fertilize the egg. Therefore more number of sperms are produced than the egg so from the many at least some can survive and reach the fallopian tube for fertilization.Thats the right answer according to me

Sperms are produced by the Leydigs cells that are present in sperm duct of the testies of the male reproductive system.
Eggs are produced by the either of the two ovaries each month.
Each ova matures to form a ovum with a protective covering known as the graafian follicle. This graafian follicle ruptures to give the matured egg.
The maximum number of egg that may be present in the female reproductory system is two.
1ml of semen contains 2-3 billions of sperms.
If conception occurs , the sperms reach to the vagina and into the fallopian tube for fertilisation. Only One sperm can fertilise an egg. This fertilised egg forms cluster of cells known as blastocyst which implant into the uterus to further form an embryo.
In short, the count of sperms does not matter but the eggs present in the fallopian tubes do. Sometimes the ovary produces two eggs which after fertilisation by two individual sperms results to twins.
The no. of eggs facilitate the progeny and not the sperms.
