Parents accord less priority to girl education as compared to boys coz, they believe that one day or the other they wil have to get their daughters married and after that their education would be of no use , as they will have to sit back at home and remain busy with the household chores.

nobody is discriminated nowadays in terms of education/employment/qualification...

it was believed that a girl, at the end, is gonna leave their home after being married and no economic profit would be gained by them.. (parents) ....

also most of the girls used to take no interest in studies due to fear or many some othet reasons and were satisfied with their limited home life...

the time girls started getting simply closer to their discomfort and worthless life, they raised their hand towards the society and overcome the fear of living.. and as everyone knows, nobody can stop the whirling wind until it destroys (here it means 'changes') every region it passes out..
