why the passengers limb forward when running bus suddenly stop

1) The Lower part of our body is in motion


2) The upper portion tries to remain in rest
( due to inertia of rest)


so when the bus stop they suddenly move forward

This comes under the phenomena of inertia in which an object want to be at rest or motion until an external force acts on it ...here the moving passenger suddenly lean down because of force action on them by the motion and sudden stop stop of the bus.
