Why the period of kalabrars of south india called the dark age?

For all other dynasities we have many proofs in the form ........ But only for Kalabhra dynasity we do not have much proofs to know about their ruling time history completely. Hence in history, Kalabhra ruling period was called as Dark age (like Stone age/Iron age).
