Crude oil is very dark brown/black color and makes people lots of money, In the early days there was a rush to get it out of the ground just like the gold rush (except that the oil rush has not stopped) simple as that.

petroleum is called liquid gold because of it value. There are lots of activities done with it like transportation etc. Their is no replica of this so...... n expensive n exhaustible too .
