Larynx is dual organ in Human Body.

It serves two important purposes that are quite distinct from one another.

These two functions are related to air and sound.

The first function is related to maintaining regular and uninterrupted air flow to the lungs, while the second function is pertaining to sound generation.

This is achieved when the larynx pushes air into a small opening that is regulated by the vocal chords.
