If the rest mass of a photon is zero, how does it possess a ..... There's an energy transfer and energy means mass.

Nik7117: please try to understand
Nik7117: I am so sorry to disturb you anymore because you remain in the cc
aditi4121: hmm
aditi4121: thats ok

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Rest energy of the electron is,

E=meC2

So, momentum of the photon from the debrogli equation is,

P=hλ=hhCE=EC=meC2C=meC⇒ P=9.1×10−31×3×108 ⇒ P=27.3×10−23 kg ms/.

HOPE IT WILL HELP U..... :-)

sona561: if it helps u plas mark as brainliest
aditi4121: plzz tell me how mass can be equal to mass of the photon at rest??still confused
sona561: For any particle in its own frame of reference, p=0, so E=m as advertised. For a photon, E=p as far as we can tell. Therefore, the mass is zero
aditi4121: thank you
sona561: wlc:-)
