If you are talking about so called poles, it means you are taking about paramagnetic materials, so why should it repel those field lines (or vectors), to not accumulate inside it, hence not making poles inside it. It means poles SHOULD exist inside that magnetic material.☺️❤✌✌✌

The lines of force don't end nor do they start from anywhere at all, infact they are continuous. This is because magnetic forces are forces which don't impart any energy on the object at all. Even if the object is moving, it only makes the object move in a circular path and hence doesn't make the object undertake any special energy into itself. But, magnets are well magnets because the magnetic dipoles in them are aligned in certain manner that they add up. This means that they can't be at the edges because that implies they may cancel up. So usually you'd find them inside the magnets. Rather the magnetic field on the inside of a bar magnet is like that inside a solenoid
