When a man lies on a cushion his weight is spread out over a large area. When he stands on the cushion his feet depress quite a small area. Since, put simply, "Pressure = Force divided by Area" so the smaller area creates a greater pressure.

pressure is much more when a man stands on a person then he lied down on it because pressure increases with the decrease in area pressure decreases with increase in area
