Why the primary sector is also called agriculture and related sector?

The primary sector is that sector of the economic concerned with or related to the primary sector. It is also called agriculture sector because agriculture is the main activity of this sector.

1.Primary sector- where goods are obtained by exploiting natural resources is known as primary sector.

2.Primary sector includes activities such as - agriculture, harvesting, animal rearing, forestry etc.

3. This sector includes all activities of land and water.

4.This sector providea raw material to secondary sector.

5.Primary sector provides maximum employment to people i.e. more number of people are employed in primary sector.
