In the later 14th century with the invention of gutenberg's printing press manuscripts and chinese printing was not seen as ideal method to satisfy the demands of printing in europe because:
1) manuscripts were fragile and uneasy to record and store.
2) manuscripts were not enough to supply the needs of bureaucratic system developing in europe after nationalism.
3)manuscripts were costly to be made and was limited to higher strata of the the European society.
soon the these lacking demands were metout by the technical advancements happening. Such as:
1) gutenberg's printing press which was made of roman alphabets which could print 250 sheets per hour
2) soon the quality of press developed with the introduction of Richard M. Hoe's power driven press it many other printing presses established to make tge printing revolution.
