Why the prolonged use of DDT not desirable

Answer: DDT(Dichloro-Diphenyl-Trichloroethane)

Earlier, DDT was used as pestisides to remove the insects from the plants but later on, those animals and humans which consume those plants started getting sick and later died. Later on, It was found that those animals and humans have one thing in common which was DDT in their blood. Therefore, DDT was banned in the United States. (Although, its still used in India)
