• At first due to the heat of the Sun, the water from different water bodies evaporates to form water vapour.
• This water vapour on reaching the higher layers of the atmosphere condensed and comes closer to form clouds.
• As more and more water vapour condensed and joins the cloud, the clouds become heavy with water.
• Due to the movement of air (wind) the clouds move to various places.
• When they are too heavy to float/fly in air they fall on the Earth's surface as rain.
