The rate of photosynthesis is dependent on the wavelength of the the light which falls on the plant.

Explanation:

  • As a result of this when the light of higher wavelength falls on the plant the the rate of photosynthesis decreases exponentially because photosynthesis is a first order Kinetic reaction.
  • Also only optimal range of wavelength is necessary for production of starch by the process of photosynthesis. this is because the chlorophyll is only suitable for observing a certain wavelength of light.
