As the location of the Arctic is staying at the poles, the earth's axis causes a serious effect on them.

Earth axis affects the total mass of sunlight radiation which artic gets normally.

Because of this effect, 6 months sunlight comes out and for next 6 months no sun at all 24*7.

Answer:

Northern part of Norway is beyond the Arctic Circle where the sunlight remains for months from March to September, so it is called the Land of Midnight sun due to the sunlight seen at night, too. The speed of the rotation of the earth is greater at the Equator than at the Arctic Circle.
