Why the resistivity of an alloy is higher than its constituent metal?? Give reason

Explanation:

An alloy has high melting point and boiling point or does not oxidise easily. The higher resistivity in alloys as compared to the constituents is caused by an additional scattering mechanism of the electrons called "alloy scattering".
