Rivers are called lokmata of India because of the following reasons
1) water is a life of a person and we get water from rivers
2) Rivers give 76% of water to India.
3) people can do agriculture on the banks of rivers.
4) Rivers help the people in different ways i.e. By giving water to wash their clothes, for drinking, and to live.....
