Oxygen plays an important role in our respiratory rhythm.When we take oxygen then it oxidize the glucose and break it into carbon-di-oxide,water and gives energy.

If we do not take oxygen then it does not break glucose and there is no production of energy and we died.So oxygen plays an important role in our respiratory rhythm
