Why the room heater is placed near the floor and an air-conditioned near the ceiling?

Because heat rises up rapidly from lower atmosphere to higher atmosphere where as, cooling always spread from higher to lower atmosphere

1. Heater is placed near the ground as the hot air rises up being lighter making space for cold air to enter so when we place heater on ground even when cold air enters it becomes hot and makes the room warm



2. Air conditioner is placed above near the ceiling to make the room cool faster . When the room is warm the AC cool down the air above which then cool down the air below and makes the room cool.
