why the sea colour is blue​

The blue colour of the ocean is an intrinsic property and is caused by the absorption and scattering of white light.. therefore,when sunlight shines on the sea all the colors of the rainbow go into the water.....

The ocean look blue because red , orange, and yellow (long wavelength light) are absorbed more strongly by water than is blue (short wavelength light )so when white light from the sun enters the ocean it is mostly the blue that get returned. Same reason the sky is blue.
