Why the second ionisation enthalpy of Bi is greater than Sb?

Answer:

After one electron the size of cation further decrease ,this decrease is higher for Bi than Sb,and hence Bi requires more energy to remove tje 2nd and 3rd electron .Therefore 2nd ionisation enthalpy of Bi is greater than Sb.
