as we use for long time it gets rust little
lemon is acid when copper reacts with acid it melts because of lemon it loses its outer layer and rust too

shine of copper vessel get faded after regular use that is a greenish black colour layer is formed on it as due to chemical reaction the copper gets oxidized and then it turns into copper oxide
but when washed with lemon or tarmarind it regain its shine due to the acid present in them
