clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

Hey dear ,

The sky appears blue, we know there are very small particles present in the atmosphere these can be of dust, and other elements , these particles able to scatter the blue light with shorter wavelengths , instead of the red lightwith longer wavelengths , and hence , we able to see the blue light , through the contact of light , it shows that is is all about SCATTERING of lights .
