why the sky appears blue not violet

Nice question....
It appears in most of the bright minds that violet is the color with most frequency but still blue colour is VISIBLE to our eyes.
The reason is that violet color exist in nature but our eyes are actually sensitive towards blue light but not violet

Answer : As we know, violet has lowest wavelength and is most scattered followed with colors of other wavelenth  but we see the color of  sky blue because our eyes is more sensitive towards blue than indigo and violet. This is the reason sky appears blue rather than indigo and violet.
