why the sky is blue ?explain.

during the daytime sky appears blue this is because the size of particles in the atmosphere is smaller than the wavelength of visible light so they are more effective and scattering the light of shorter wavelengths therefore blue light.....sky is full of nitrogen so it scatters blue light.....
