The soil of agricultural lands get tested for PH because different types of crops thrive (grow) in different Ph levels if soil .

Soil pH affects the amount of nutrients and chemicals that are soluble in soil water, and therefore the amount of nutrients available to plants.

Some nutrients are more available under acid conditions while others are more available under alkaline conditions.

However, most mineral nutrients are readily available to plants when soil pH is near neutral

We therefore test the pH so that the plants can get sufficient amount of nutrient and also because the plants can't grown in the soils that are too acidic or too basic

Hope it did a little bit help to you ♡
