Why the speed of sound is more in solid than gas and loquid?

Sound is a periodic disturbance in the medium. It travels in the form of waves. Sound needs a medium where it could transfer the energy (from one particle to another). Since there are less particles present in liquids and gases, transfer of energy slows down.. I hope this work comes in use!
