why the sting of wasp is basic. what base does is consist​

the sting of a wasp is basic in nature so we need something acidic to neutralize the basicly. A weak acid like acetic acid would do the trick. So we can apply vinegar on the spot which contains Acetic acid which would neutralize the base.
