➡first of all , what is period ?

⚫periods are defined as the 7 horizontal columns in periodic table.

➡now, why strength of hydracids increases in period...?

⚫The increase in the acidic properties of these hydrides is due to the fact that as we move from CH4 to HF, the stability of their conjugate base increases in the successive order ( ie next one ).

▶here,
⚫conjugate base :- a base with a hydrogen ion added to it is called a conjugate base.

⚫stability :- an atom is saud to be stable if its valence shell is complete ( ie containing 8 electrons ).
