Why the temp. Of kargil touches -20°c in dec.And 22°c in kerala?

distance from the sea . The sea breeze and land breeze phenomenon cause the moderate climate of kerela whereas Kargil is away from sea so temperature should be extreme .And altitude is also a cause of cold climate of Kargil
