As Chennai is near to sea it changes its air with the air of sea so convection occurs and heat transfer takes place between city air and sea air so the temperature of Chennai remains moderate. But for Delhi there is no sea so its temperature remains maintained.

Chennai is near the sea that affect which is originated and the winds come from the Sea breeze .So Chennai is cool and moderate but delhi have no any ponds are lakes so that it can be cool and moderate so it it is very high temperature at Delhi
