why the temperature of melting ice and boiling water does not rise even though heat is supplied continously

Bcz of latent heat
the heat required to convert a solid into a liquid or vapour, or a liquid into a vapour, without change of temperature

heyy mate!!! here's ur ans

the temperature does not increase because the heat that is supplied is used up in breaking the force of attraction of the substance .Once the force of attraction breaks ,the heat that is supplied slowly start increasing the temperature
