Metamorphosis is a term used to explain development in certain organisms that grow out to become entirely different from their initial stage, for ex- the larvae of a mosquito looks entirely different from a grown mosquito.

In humans the young ones look like the adults, therefore the term metamorphosis would be wrong to explain development in humans. Metamorphosis means almost complete change in appearance of an organism from childhood to adulthood. However in humans the appearance doesn't changes.

Hope it helps, if so please mark as brainliest.
