we know pressure is inversely proportional to area so the cutting edges are made sharp so as to reduce the area which results in more pressure

we know Force is equal to pressure by area.F=P/A. so force is inversely proportional to area.
so if we decrease the area the force will increase and vice versa. that is why knife has sharp edge
is this sufficient
