Why the trees of hilly areas are of cone-shaped? Give a valid reason.

Tress are normally cone-shaped on the mountains. Snow accumulates on the branches and leaves, when there is snowfall. The conical shape of trees prevents as much accumulation of snow as there would be on broader shapes. The conical shape of the tress also help to get the snow fall very quickly and to get the sunlight which help the trees to adapt in that environment.
