Heavy vehicles like trucks have broad tyres because broad tyres have large area of contact and less pressure on the ground. Because of this, heavy vehicles (like tractor) can move even on soft roads and fields without sinking.

Hey Frnd , heres ur ans :-)
Since pressure on Trucks are more because of heavy loads...
So the surface area of their tyres are increased to reduce the pressure as pressure is Inversly proportional to unit area...
