To solve this just recall your equations for Electric field strength, which is the force per unit quantity of charge.

E=F/q ……(1)

E=V/d ……(2), implying V=Ed

Now in (1), for consistency of units,

Units of E = units of F/q

1N/C = 1kgm/As^3 (cause 1C= 1As as Q=It)

For consistency between equations (1) and (2),

the units of V/d = the units of F/q

thus, the units of V= units of Fd/q

And finally units of potential difference, 1V = 1 kgm^2/(As^3) read as kilogram meter square per amper seconde cube.
