Two main reasons why the use of cattle dung cakes are discouraged to be used as fuels are: it needs lots of energy to be converted as fuel, it produces a lot of smoke and dust which is harmful to us to inhale.

EXPLANATION:

  • In India, especially in the village areas the dung of cattle are being dried and are being used as fuels, but now its use has been discouraged because of two major reasons.
  • First, it takes a lot of energy to get converted into fuel and hence is not considered as good fuel. It is also not burnt completely and that's why to release lots of smoke and dust which is harmful to the persons inhaling it.
  • The smoke also causes eye irritation. So, instead of using cattle dung as fuels we can use it as manure in the fields which is both good for human benefit and also environmental friendly.
