Answer:

That’s an incorrect statement. Various things can make the current change including a change of the source voltage or a change of the total resistance of the series circuit. So the current is NOT CONSTANT.

What doesn’t change is that the current through every series element is exactly the sam as in the other series elements.

Rheostat and constant variable........ it is used to regulate current without changing the voltage source.
