why the value of g varies with place to place?

S0rav: The value of gravity is 9.8 and varies place to place because change in the gravitional pull of the earth.the gravity decrease as we move to high altitude or mountains and increase at the plains or lower altitudes

Its value is 9.8 m/s2 on Earth. That is to say, the acceleration of gravity on the surface of the earth at sea level is 9.8 m/s2. ... There are slight variations in the value of g about earth's surface. These variations result from the varying density of the geologic structures below each specific surface location.

hoorbano: please explaine it with a mathematical way..
