why the water in earthen pots got cools in summer

water in earthen pot get cool in summers because of the water as water is having a property of high specific heat capacity due to this the water it is kept in the earthen pot doesn't get hot during summer and remain cools in summers..

There is also one more reason for this is is in that way Sports earthen pots has small points

In an earthen pot, water gets evaporated quickly through the pores. Cooling is caused by evaporation. Some heat energy is utilised during the process of evaporation.

The particles gain enough energy from the water as well as the surrounding which causes cooling
