Why the water is becomes cools in mathka

In the earthened pot or matka there are some pores through which water gets evaporated in summers and as we know evaopration is aprocess which leaves cooling effect and so due to that cooling efect water becomes cool in pot and some heat energy is also utilized during the process of evaopration

when water is kept in the mathka the water comes out through these pores and evaporates now since the water become cool in mathka
