>>Mass of the moon is 1/100 times and radius of moon is 1/4 times that of the earth. Therefore, the gravitational attraction on the moon is about one sixth of that on the earth. Hence, the weight of an object on the moon is 1/6 th of the weight on the earth.

Answer:

-:Weight on moon :-

The mass and radius of moon is less then he earth due to which the moon exerts a lesser gravitational force on

object [Which is 1/6 th of that exerted by the earth ] . since he gravitationa force is. 1/6th that of the earth, therefore the weight of an object on the moon is 1/6th of its weight on the earth

And due to re lesser gravitational it always tends to produce a less acceleration on a body.
