why the white light is splitted into seven colours only when it is passing through the spectrum (or) prism? ​

Answer: because white colour is a mixture of all the colours of the rainbow

white light consists of seven colours. if a beam of white light is passed through glass prism then it will split in to seven colours. These colours are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet (VIBGYOR).
