It comes down to mass manufacturing of the components. It is easier and quicker to join two straight cut pieces of wood or aluminium. The glass is also easier to cut into rectangular shapes. It takes much longer to cut a round piece of glass. If it is an aluminium window, then the aluminium must be rolled until it is the right diameter. Wooden windows must be cut into several halve round pieces and then joined into a circular shape.

So the extra labour it takes to make a round window, makes the window much more expensive than a normal rectangular window.
