Ancient Roman calendar have only 10 months :
Martius: 31 days
Aprilius: 30 days
Maius: 31 days
Junius: 30 days
Quintilis: 31 days
Sextilis: 30 days
September: 30 days
October: 31 days
November: 30 days
December: 30 days
King Numa Pompilius who thought we r messing up something which end in crop failure and defeat in wars so he added two more months on the name of god - janus - January and fabur - fabruary but they believed odd in luck when they found the day to be 366 fabruary added in last so it have to compontiate with the other months if it has 29 days it wil be 366 days so they remove one for their luck as 28 days now .. Leap yead exists due to earth 's motion
