Why there are finite integers between any two integers?

Answer:

we can understand this just by knowing what integers are

integer is a number which is not a fraction; a whole number.

now if we take two integers, in order to get the number of integers between them all we have to do is find how many non fractional i.e whole numbers are there in between them. So, you will be able to get a finite number of integers between two integers

eg:

take two integers -2 and 5

so the integers between them are clearly -1,0,1,2,3,4

even if the given two integers are far apart from each other we will still have a finite no. of integers between them.

why because we dont have to divide the whole into parts.... a definite number of wholes are always countable.. when do things become infinite?

its either when we can keep dividing it into smaller and smaller parts or when we can keep going on to next value

here, a fixed value is given i.e two integers are given so we have a limit to our counting.... also there is no scope for division of the wholes into parts as they are integers..

hope it helps...........
